This multipurpose park was constructed in Sapporo in 1982. The area was originally established as a natural fence bordering the city. The grounds boast both a 600-meter canal and expansive views of Mount Teineyama. Visitors claim it to be the best place to experience Hokkaido’s natural seasonal landscape. The changing leaves in fall make this destination a year-round locals’ favorite. Guests frequent throughout the warmer months to enjoy to cherry-blossom lined walking paths. In winter, the grounds offer both cross-country skiing and snow trekking.
