Located in Koto City, this exhibition hall is dedicated to Daigo Fukuryu Maru, a historic wooden ship dating back from 1954. Historically, this particular ship was caught in a US hydrogen bomb test and was affected by the radioactive fallout, later preserved and displayed in the museum. The hydrogen bomb test led to many negative effects on environment and took many lives, brought to public attention and commemorated by the exhibition. Other historical items worthy of interest such as old fishing tools and diaries are also available for viewing, with panel displays for explanations. The exhibition hall also holds special events once or twice a year, so make sure to check the website for announcements and more details.
